Look at the lips on this one. It looks like it's puckering up for a kiss.

Yes, that's right. That's me on the far right hangin' with my crew. Everyone always talks about how exciting it would be to be famous. Well, I'm here to tell you it's not all it's cracked up to be. We had to give this photo op a few tries since we weren't in the right state of mind at first...

This newspaper guy shows up at this new park near daycare and starts enticing us with tales of fame and fortune. We being the gullible little 3-year olds that we are, take the bait. Before we know it, we're being asked to strike a bunch of poses, play here, hang from there, etc.

This was right in the middle of our playtime too, so it was kind of like herding cats for him. But eventually, he got the pic and we landed on the front page of the Metrowest Daily News! I hear this rag has dozens of readers, so I suspect people will be stopping me on the street anyday now.

And finally, belated post #3...

I was torn what to dress up as for Halloween this year. I was Princess Leia last year, and that seemed to go over well, but I kinda felt that ended up being more for daddy than for me.

This year, I ended up taking matters into my own hands, and came up with my own version of a more contemporary princess. I was definitely the cooler looking kid on the block, but it was pretty dark walking around at night with those shades on.

Anyhow, the other cool part of the evening was getting to hand out candy...

...and eating some, although someone kept trying to steal my Snickers bar.

Belated post #2...

Ahhh, what pleasant memories. Although my birthday was a couple of months ago, it feels like only yesterday where I had a chance to eat some cake with mommy and daddy...

...and then eat some more cake when my aunties and grandparents stopped by...

I have to say though, some people need to learn their place, and know not to touch a girl's cake...

So life as a 3 year old has been so busy, I've fallen behind on my little blog, so here's belated post #1...This is me at one of the local parks Daddy takes me to, usually after day care pick up.

I'll often keep us there for a good hour at least, picking up rocks and throwing them into the water. I usually make Daddy dig up the really big ones so I can make some big splashes.

Daddy has conditioned me to the ring of the ice cream truck like a Pavlov dog. Every weekday, as dinner time concludes, my spider senses can detect the approaching ice cream truck coming down our street. The ringing bell off in the distance always prompts me to yell "Ice Cream Truck!", as I run towards the window to see it drive by. It's uncontrollable.

On the rare day we happen to be outside, I can usually convince mommy and daddy to buy me something.

On this beautiful evening, I was able to score a Dora bar. Her DVDs are not only fun to watch, but her ice cream bars are fun to eat too.

...At least that was what I said after I doodled this picture all by myself.

I think it surprised mommy and daddy since this was the very first time I drew something other than tiny vertical lines. Mommy commented it was so amazing because you can actually make out a head, eyes, and some form of legs. Apparently it's uncommon for a 2 year old to sketch things with such detail. Just another burst of creativity I guess.

I was talking to daddy a couple of days ago and he mentioned some people had been bugging him for pictures of me. I know he's not the type to make time for that kind of stuff (I think he's a bit shy), but I thought it was ridiculous that it had been over 2 years already, and some people still hadn’t met me. Since he's horrible with keeping in touch with people, I thought I'd take matters into my own hands.

Tonight, while mommy and daddy were sleeping, I got up out of bed, booted up daddy’s Mac, uploaded a few pics to Picasa, and started my very first blog. I'm kind of new to this, so I don't know if I'll be good about keeping it up, but here goes my very first post…

For those I haven’t met, my name is Danielle and I’m 2 1/2 years old. This is me wearing mommy's baseball hat, standing in mommy and daddy’s office room. I had just taken a shower (that’s wet hair, not greasy hair) and mommy thought it would be cute to have me wear a hat backwards. I didn’t think it was very original, but I was in a good mood, so I played along.
